XEV (X-Electrical Vehicle)
- Who are they? Founded in 2018 with a design and engineering centre in Turin (Italy) and production based in China, XEV is a young, innovative company dedicated to all-electric urban micromobility.
- What sets them apart: Revolutionary manufacturing using 3D printing to customise body panels and interior elements. Another major innovation is interchangeable battery technology (battery swapping), allowing ultra-fast replacement at a station alongside conventional charging from a socket or charging point.
- Their positioning in Switzerland: Approved as a heavy quadricycle (with a motorcycle/light-vehicle-type licence plate), the brand is represented in Switzerland by specialised networks and urban dealers. With its flagship Yoyo model, XEV targets purely urban and suburban use (a top speed of 90 km/h and a range of 150 km), offering an ultra-compact, well-equipped alternative (panoramic roof, air conditioning and connected screen) to the Microlino or Citroën Ami.
