- Who are they? Founded in 1964 in Hefei, JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Co.) is one of China’s oldest manufacturers. A giant in commercial vehicles and light trucks, the group has established itself as one of the pioneers of affordable electric mobility in China, notably forming major partnerships with Volkswagen to produce electric vehicles.
- What sets them apart: A pragmatic approach focused on simplicity, practical reliability and very comprehensive standard equipment without long lists of options. JAC does not pursue technological ultra-luxury, but the lowest possible running cost per kilometre.
- Their positioning in Switzerland: Officially imported and a pioneer among all-electric Chinese brands in Switzerland, JAC targets the entry-level market. With models such as the small E30X city car or the compact e-JS4 SUV, the brand offers low prices with simple vehicles, spacious interiors and warranties of 5 to 8 years.
