Jaecoo
- Who are they? Launched in 2023 by Chinese giant Chery Automobile (alongside its sister brand Omoda), Jaecoo is an international brand specialising in SUVs. Its name combines the German word Jäger (‘hunter’) and the English word Cool.
- What sets them apart: An off-road, adventure-oriented style (square lines, imposing vertical grilles and body protection), visually inspired by premium British SUVs. Under the bonnet, Jaecoo focuses on broad technical versatility with petrol, hybrid and all-electric powertrains.
- Their positioning in Switzerland: Imported into Switzerland alongside Omoda, Jaecoo targets the popular family and adventure SUV segment. With models such as the compact Jaecoo 7 SUV and the large 7-seat Jaecoo 8 SUV (available notably with an SHS plug-in hybrid powertrain), the brand positions itself as a technology-focused, well-equipped alternative to traditional SUVs.
