Who are they? The new name of the historic South Korean brand SsangYong (founded in 1954), KGM (KG Mobility) is South Korea’s fourth-largest manufacturer. Acquired in 2022 by Korean industrial group KG Group, the brand has reinvented itself to begin a rapid transition to electric vehicles.

What sets them apart: 70 years of experience in robust vehicles (4x4s, SUVs and pick-ups), combined with leading technology partnerships. For its new electric generation, KGM notably uses Blade battery technology supplied by giant BYD.

Their positioning in Switzerland: Officially distributed in Switzerland (through importer Astara), the brand retains its promise of robustness and excellent value for money. Its range centres on the all-electric family SUV Torres EVX and the electric pick-up Musso EV, all backed by a 7-year warranty.
