- Who are they? Founded in 2014 in Guangzhou, XPeng is one of the pioneers of the new wave of smart Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers. The group counts Volkswagen among its major shareholders and strategic partners for the joint development of electric and software platforms.
- What sets them apart: A strong focus on advanced technology and artificial intelligence. XPeng develops its own software architectures, advanced driver assistance systems (XPILOT) and 800V electric architectures enabling ultra-fast charging.
- Their positioning in Switzerland: Officially distributed in Switzerland in partnership with the Hedin group, XPeng targets the premium and high-tech segment, competing directly with Tesla. The brand is rolling out a range including the G6 coupé SUV, the large flagship G9 SUV and the P7 touring saloon, combining extensive technology with premium road performance.
